Things have been busy and hectic lately! That's why the posting has been super light!
I will be updating the blog a lot more regularly now and with so many more fun posts and updates from life in 'the city'!

I love Dubai, but I'm so excited for this new experience and can't wait to share it with you!
More recipes, tips on how to live on a budget, restaurant reviews, pictures, all in addition to the regular posts! Get ready to add LVP to your browser homepage! (If it isn't already!!)

The next week or so will be super busy with moving and flying, furnishing, getting settled in, etc.

I will try to update as much as I can, but forgive me if the normal posts don't start till end of August, early September! I will be updating my Facebook page regularly thought, so stay tuned for sure!

Love you guys for your support, and I'm excited for the next year!

Craving: Churros

I've been craving churros a lot recently
The ones that Emily of cupcakes and cashmere tried are so tempting to make!
Hopefully I'll get to it soon!

I know these goodies can be found somewhere around Dubai, I'm just not sure where.
I need to find them soon though!

Favourite Fragrances for Fall 2011

click the image to enlarge!

Ever have a hard time picking out the right fragrance? No problem! LVP's guide to some of the best fragrances for Fall 2011 is right here in your hand and is going to make your life just that much easier!

Perfumes are a necessity of course, but also work great as gifts (especially when you have absolutely no idea what to give that special someone)

Not a fan of very sweet, nor very spice & overpowering fragrances, this set is just perfect - but also keeping in mind the season, this lot mostly consists of more spicy-ish scents rather than the summer florals. Enjoy!

(From the top right)
FIRST SHELF
1. Elie Saab Parfum
2. Viva La Juicy by Juicy Couture
3. Alien by Thierry Mugler

SECOND SHELF
4. Rock & Rose Pret-a-Porter by Valentino
5. Diane by DVF
6. Idylle by Guerlain
7. Body by Burberry

THIRD SHELF
8. Chloé Parfum
9. Especially Escada by Escada
10. Miss Dior Chérie - Christian Dior

For our USA readers: Sephora and any dept. store
Europe readers: Sephora of course!

should have at least most of these!

I'm having a 'Bow Shoes' moment...

Right now, I'm loving shoes with bows on them, especially right in front. I first fell in love with these shoes when I spotted Emily of Cupcakes and Cashmere sporting these Miu Miu beauties.

Here are some of my other faves.

See by Chloé

Cute flats by Bottega Veneta

I love these timeless jelly flip flops by Valentino. So Versatile

Also available in Black and Dark Pink

My cousin owns a pair of this studded version, and they look amazing, every time!

NYFW 2011 Street Style - Part I

Fashion week is a great time to spot crazy, fun, and interesting looks, not to mention the perfectly composed outfits from the industry's leading ladies and men.

LVP has it's pick of it's favourite street style looks. However, we had so many we could not fit them in one composite with doing justice to the pictures, so here's part 1, come back tomorrow for part 2!!

I . Laurel Patin - Assistant Beauty Editor at Teen Vogue - We love the daring green pants, and the pairing with natural tan leather brown loafers and sling bag

II . Sheena Smith - Accessories Editor at Teen Vogue - We love the fall themed palette - Burberry Sweater, Daughter of the Revolution Jeans, Miu Miu Bag

III . This style is effortlessly chic. The mix of prints is perfectly balance with the monochromatic color palette (it looks really comfortable too) - and LVP just loves the clutch! This amazing photo is from The Sartorialist

IV. Katherine Bernard - Features Assistant at Vogue US with an amazing Kate Spade NYTimes Clutch (we thought it was the actual paper!)

V. Christina Peres of Fashionologie - Again, we love the tan leather accents and the simple but classic look of pairing the blazer with jeans. We love the umbrella too ;)

VI . One of our favorites, this fashionista spotted at the Helmut Lang Show, pairs this seasons Jewel Tones (more on that later) perfectly and completes the look with a dark leather tote. We love the whole look!

VII . Hanneli Mustaparta - A contributing photographer to Vogue blends her wardrobe from summer to fall seamlessly with pairing a bright and fun pant - echoing summer's palette but also playing with this season's staple - with a perfect green silky top. We love the funky shades too - and the eco friendly/healthy take on transport!

VIII .  A classic and perfect look, blogger Jessica Stein pairs red bottoms with a simple and plain black top and leopard print flats. Refinery 29 even named it one of the safe go-to perfect outfits!

Hope you enjoyed and come back tomorrow for Part II

Style Radar: Animal Instincts

This week's LVP Style Radar caught on to the Leopard/Cheetah trend that's been a color story of many Designer's websites, not to mention many store's window displays.

2. Top Shop
3. Forever 21
4. Top Shop
5. Mulberry
6. Rebecca Minkoff
7. Yves Saint Laurent
8. Rebecca Taylor, via Net-a-porter.com
9. Brian Atwood
10. Equipment

Don't forget: This print can be a little overwhelming, and your look can get gaudy very fast!
Make sure you pair animal prints with lots of neutrals, especially black, whether its black leggings and/or a black tote, and/or a black top.  Remember not to have one to many animal print items on!

Hope you enjoy!

LVP is back

via

Sorry!

There haven't been any posts in the past one month, I was travelling with family and only got back just this week. With jet lag and unpacking I've been far from getting anywhere near Blogger, not to mention I'm still getting used to this blogging thing.

While I was away I finalized my thoughts on what I wanted this blog to entail, and just as I initially planned there will be features on health, fitness, fashion, travel, etc.  on this blog.

So from tomorrow onwards get ready to check back daily for new and exciting posts!

Until next time...
