A funny How-To via Refinery29

Refinery29's guide on how to battle going to the toilet while wearing your oh-so-beautiful jumpsuit. Seems like common sense, but it also seems like a lot of people question this factor!

Here it is:

Step 1: You're in the bathroom, right? Okay, good. Make sure the door is locked.

Step 2: Take off your romper

Step 3: Whoops, you're naked!

Step 4: Laugh, and laugh, and laugh.

Step 5: You know how you hold onto your shorts or skirt so it never touches the floor? Yeah, do that, but with your romper.

Step 6: This next step is important: Pee. Wash & Wipe.

Step 7: Put your romper back on.

Step 8: Continue living your life, confident that you can still successfully accomplish adult things (like going to the bathroom without assistance) while wearing a playsuit.

Inside Ralph Lauren's Holiday Home

When Ralph Lauren was a little boy in Bronx he fell in love...with a pair of blue suede shoes, but he couldn't afford them at the time. Now "what I do is about living," says Lauren, With about 300 stores all over the world, and $11 billion in sales, Ralph Lauren & Polo Ralph Lauren, are household names. Architectural Digest shows us inside his, and wife Ricky's, Jamaican holiday villa on Round Hill, near Montego Bay. They have transformed the place into a sunny and bright escape. Take a look:

Asian Antiques, such as old ginger jars and chinoiserie mirrors add an exotic feel to the living room

"We live on the veranda," Ralph Lauren says of the loggia/dinning terrace. "The goal was to make our family comfortable in a luxurious setting," explains Ricky Lauren, who wrote a book about Jamaica called My Island. "We go there as often as we can escape."

“It had carpeting inside and outside; that’s strange in Jamaica,” Ricky Lauren says of the residence, built in the 1950s. “It took a lot to restore it. Now it’s like a plantation house.”

In 1996 the couple purchased a beach house just down the hill and renovated it. They named it the White Orchid. The interior courtyard. “The great house has a classic feel,” says Ralph Lauren. “The White Orchid is clean, barefoot and luxurious."

Marble floors were installed in the living room. Hurricane lamps, Ralph Lauren Home.

The couple expanded the pool deck. The beach house is “like being on a boat,” notes Ralph Lauren. “The greenness of Jamaica is gorgeous. The air is very mild. It feels like a paradise. There’s a naturalness and ease of living. It smells like a beautiful place.”

It's definitely like being on a boat, and I would love to be his guest and stay in that beach house!

Nutrients for Gorgeous Skin

It can be hard to keep your skin looking fresh and clean all the time, but with a little effort and some extra care on what kind of food you eat & snack on, you can work your way to even that much better looking (and feeling) skin. While on Glamour.com I found these nutrients as suggested to be the best booster for gorgeous skin:

Omega 3s: these fats (and they're the good kind) act as a lubricant to keeping your skin supple and aid in hormone production that improves the skin's texture by fighting off free radicals (which cause inflammatory damage, wrinkles, and blotchiness)

A thought: these fats are essential for pregnant mothers...maybe they are one of the reasons for skin as soft as a baby's?!

Where to find 'em:
Nuts, seeds, and fish such as salmon

Vitamin B3: commonly knows as niacin-amide helps in boosting the produce the compounds that make up the outside barrier of the skin, which subsequently locks in moisture. This B vitamin has also shown to reduce the redness and helpful for dry/sensitive skin

Where to find it:
Roasted Chicken, Mushrooms, and even Steak

Vitamin E: By helping the skin retain its natural moisturizers, this vitamin helps to ease dry skin, and supports UV defense (kaching!). Studies have shown that when used prior to UV exposure, skin is less red, swollen, and dry (hence its often existence in sunscreen ingredients). Additionally, it also showed reducing numbers of skin damaging free radical (which are created after exposure to cigarette smoke)

Where to find it:

Sunflower seeds, Olives &

If I may...

Let me just add that even though this can be overstated it is definitely true; Drink Plenty Of Water! :)

Hope this can be somewhat useful!

Make Up: For dewy, humid weather

Hot and humid weather can often be unfriendly to the make up we use during the rest of the year. Dewy weather means make up goes light and waterproof! Below are some of our favorite pics:

Let me start by saying I love Neutrogena's make up line, it's all make up that is good for you and your skin - there's not much more you need in make up!

1. Netrogena's Skin Clearing, oil-free, Microclear technology, liquid foundation
& Neutrogena's healthy skin liquid foundation SPF 20

The difference: one is oil free (great for acne) and one is not, though it's still amazing for your skin (no clogging!). Because these foundations are so light, yet give good coverage, they are perfect for the sweaty climate

2. Tarte LipSurgence Natural Lip Stain

It's natural, it's moisturizing, and it's light, no thick gooey lipstick, just a vibrant color that keeps your lips hydrated and feeling light

3. MAKE UP FOREVER Mist & Fix

It's like hairspray for your face! Perfect for keeping your make up on all day. This product has gotten great reviews, however if your looking for a slightly more wallet friendly version check out Sephora's pocket sized fix spray (perfect for your purse)

4. Neutrogena's healthy volume waterproof mascara

It's Neutrogena, so it's healthy, and it contains collagen which helps volumize your lashes upto 400%! An LVP favorite for sure

5. NARS Blush

This has a reputation, doesn't really need much explaining. NARS blushes are great and the NARS Orgasm is a favorite. The fact that it's a powder also helps (for this type of weather) in comparison to those of you who usually opt for cream blushes (which will just melt and get sticky...eww!)

6. Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser SPF 20

Another great favorite - and is so for a reason. It's light and stays on all day while leaving your face feeling fresh. It moisturizes while having the perfect amount of tint. It also gives you that fresh dewy look (the good kind) so you look sun kissed and your cheekbones get highlighted naturally

NYC: Gelatria Classica

While in New York I came across a cute Gelato place in Greenwich Village called Timi's Gelateria Classica (Italiano).

Flavor: Chocolate

Delish!

Originally from Venice, Gelateria Classica is now open all over the world, and has just opened its flagship store in NYC, in Geenwich Village on October 10th.
(LVP loves) : They produce their Gelato with hormone free milk, and fresh local ingredients.

The gelato flavors to choose from are perfect and the gelato itself is rich enough without being overpowering, and the perfect soft texture.

Not to mention their customer service is amazing!

We were there pretty late so that's why their upper level was closed

- Interesting fact: they sell wholesale if you're having an event (or even to restaurants) ! - If you're in NY, you should definitley pay them a visit and get a bite - or more - of their tasty and creamy gelato!

Check out their site, and I'll see you back here tomorrow for a fashion feature!
