Cross Body Bags

neon cambridge satchel

I love shoulder bags/cross body bags. They are so convenient, and hassle free. Perfect for shopping, traveling, running errands, even a night out. They're usually the perfect size in comparison to tote bags, which means you have all the essentials you need for a worry free outing. They come in so many patterns and colors, that a neutral, classic one can be a great basic to always have, while a neon or more edgier version is perfect for accessorizing your outfit the right way, or adding a pop of color.

Below are some of my picks that seem like the perfect addition to any wardrobe.
The Cambridge Satchel and the Rebecca Minkoff M.A.C's are two of my personal all time favorites that so far have not seemed to disappoint in either practicality, quality, or design/aesthetics!

Michael Kors
(everyday neutral version // add a little edge with this fun color and stud detail)

The Cambridge Satchel
(great to have in a fun color, and neutral ones are great as well)

A DVF Harper for a fun twist on the classic cross body
The 'connect' version allows you to carry your iPad around in style

Oversized

I love oversized clutch bags. They're still small [compared to handbags and totes] and have a sense of 'dressy'-ness to them and formality, but depending on their look they can be casual chic or black-tie formal. And their size allows you to have more than just your cellphone inside! Which is so convenient when you're going out!

Rebecca Minkoff - nyfw

Yesterday LVP tuned into the Live stream video on style.com to watch the Rebecca Minkoff show. As always with her work, we were impressed.

Her S/S 12 collection includes brighter hues, color blocking, simple clean cuts and as many other shows this week, the color palette includes lots of yellows and blues but also infuses reds and browns - all good alternatives to this past summer's bright bright colors.

Here are a few screen shots from her show - sorry for some of the blurry images!

Waiting for the show to start...

...and the show begins!
We love that jacket!

And her purses of course never fail to impress

interesting use of neon yellows, in both the clothes and clutch (bright but not over powering)

Lots of flow-y, loose tops and graphic prints

We wish her all the best with her soon to be born baby!
