Style Radar: Statement Necklace

The trend started in 2011, but is going to be even better in 2012.
Personally I love this style and am always on the search for a great
statement necklace! Below are some great examples and photos!
Enjoy! ( I know you will!)

Isn't this beautiful (above and below)

And an even newer trend that followed is the under the
collar necklace trend, and I love the way it looks!

HOW TO: UNDER COLLAR NECKLACE

1) Pick your favorite collared shirt. Button up...all the way
2) Pair with your favorite statement/short necklace & make sure
your collar lies over it.

It's A New Year!

It's already a week into the new year, and I had yet to come up with my list of resolutions. I think part of it was because I believe that change can happen at any time of the year but New Years is a great time to reiterate those points and if you haven't thought about them yet, now's the time to really put them into action! So I thought and reflected and came up with a couple interesting resolutions/goals for my self:

ACCESSORIZE MORE
I love accessories and always tell my self to enjoy
them on a daily basis but fail due to laziness. This time, it's for real!

WORK ON MY RELATIONSHIP
...with food that is! We have seen healthier days!

TRY OUT MORE DIY CRAFTS
I get a fare share of DIY type stuff with my accessories business,
but I would like to try new stuff, décor, other jewelry, fun art pieces, etc.

COOK MORE
I love food and cooking. I bake a lot, but fail to find time to cook
a good meal. I want to try to cook once every two weeks at the least!

BE KIND
more than normal that is! I would like to comment on
blogposts, and to people in person more often. I always have
great thoughts about a post, or about what a person is wearing
or doing, but fail to actually make the effort to let them know
the positiveness (<-- if that's a word) of what they're doing,
so I would like to do that, because there's no harm in a nice
gesture like that, and everyone loves/deserves a compliment!

DRINK MORE WATER
I really need to do this! I'm so far away
from the daily amount of 8 glasses!
Water has so many healing properties and essential
nutrients/minerals for your body, and it makes your
skin look real smooth and clean!

I'll leave you with this cute video from Kandee Johnson on Youtube! Happy 2012! See you tomorrow.

What are yours? It's always interesting to read other people's resolutions. Sometimes they remind you of ones you need to add to your list, but hadn't thought of beforehand. Leave your resolutions in the comments? I would love to know!

A Walk Down 5th Ave.

The shops down 5th avenue have some of the best window displays. I had read about the Bergdorf Goodman & Tiffany's and then I luckily had the chance to see them during my trip to New York as well as some others. Personally the Bergdorf and Tiffany's topped my list. Although Cartier's was really cute too. I think this year was probably the best as a whole.

Take a look & enjoy:

The tiffany windows consisted of carousel exteriers and a large crystal cut like
glass window. When you look through each one, a minature scene of snow,
jewels, and holiday spirit can be seen, with a different scene in each window.

Other windows, and the hanging snowflake in the middle of 5th ave.

These were some other windows: Tommy Hilfiger and Fendi

Obsession: Ceci New York

I absolutely love and adore Ceci Johnson's work. Personally loving art, graphics, color,
laser cut detail, and pretty paper art, Ceci is my idol and inspiration when it comes to
stunning wedding stationary and more.

Ceci New York prides itself as a leading brand in luxurious, personalized stationary.
Named as one of America's most talented designers, it's no wonder Ceci has earned
numerous awards and has dealt with A-list celebrities, royalty, and high profile social
and corporate clients.

Ceci is mostly known for her wedding stationary, and rightly so, her talented designs
successfully combine classic and elegant elements with contemporary and personalized
style.

Enough said, just the few examples of her work below will show you way more than
what I can explain, why her work landed a spot on my obsession list. Even though
it's no where close to now, when I get married, my wedding stationary will definitely
be Ceci-ed!

Enjoy:

Are you obsessed too now?!

Even if you're not getting married, or planning on spending money on personalized invites, you can still enjoy Ceci's creations through her store or ready to buy stationary:

Like this baby announcement card                                         Or these cute laser cut place cards
                                                                                        (available in other shapes)
This placemat can go a long way in decorating your table. With little or no effort,
you can instantly achieve a great looking table for your guests or family.

Dubai's Airport Terminal 3 Gets a Makeover!

Hey everyone! Welcome to 2012!! Let me start off by saying thank you to all of you for coming along this journey of LVP with me! 2011 was great as it was the year LVP was born and I am so excited to see what 2012 has in store!

As many of you know, I was in NY for the holidays. I landed a couple nights back in Dubai's Terminal 1. However, I received an email from Mona Kattan (aka Adventures in Monaland) making me wish I had landed in Terminal 3!

This is why:

As the 2.5 million people who pass through Dubai International Airport’s Terminal 3 each month will be able to testify, high-flying fashion isn’t restricted to last- minute duty free bargains.

Dubai-based label C’est Moi was tasked to fashion-up Emirates’ departures terminal with its one-of-a-kind luxury dress, on display this month. Following in the footsteps of designers including Versace, Stella McCartney, Tom Ford and Jean-Paul Gaultier, C’est Moi conceived DXB’s Absolut Luxury Dress using Swarovski crystals and a swathe of ice blue ombré skirt. The dress will also feature as part of the Absolute Fashion Photography Competition, launching early next year. To commemorate the collaboration, Bazaar swapped catwalk for runway and took to the tarmac to capture this season’s most chic Dubai Duty Free find.

The showcase is on until January 7th!
